1st Day of Summer

We will be trying to hide from the heat. The girls will be going out in just a little bit to play but I will beat it will not take them long before they coming running back in from the heat. David will probably come home and go straight to the shower after work today. This is a day were we keep the blinds closed so we can keep as much heat outside. Guess the girls will be playing mostly inside with blocks and crayons. Benjamin will love having his sisters in the house to play with and keep him entertained for once. Hoping to survive everyone staying in the house all day long, least we have a new cooling/heating unit to keep the house cool.

We are thinking about taking a day vacation to a local zoo the weekend of the 4th, David is talking that they might get the Monday after the 4th off. So that might be our one day to do anything this Summer. I think the kids would enjoy the zoo, wondering if the zoo would notice if we left a couple of monkeys with them. Sometimes it seems like I have a house full of monkeys, counting the hubby. Oh, well I need to start getting ready to make lunch for my girls before they say they are starving to death. Just got a few more things to do and it will be lunch time.

Friday 6/4/2010

All this week we have been cleaning house and just staying home. One exception is going to my parents house to feed the cats and check the mail. Donnita will be coming home this Sunday with a brand new haircut. Can not wait to see how she looks, I also bet we will not be able to get her to be quiet when she gets home. I just know she will be wanting to tell us everything she did while she was up at her Aunt T's house. Should see her sometime Sunday around 3 or 4 pm.

Mary Ann is been in and out of the little pool, that she now has a great little tan. Am jealous, Mary Ann tans so nicely and easily. Let's just say she is also making sure the grass has plenty of water to keep it growing.

Benjamin is enjoying the pool too, but he is not allowed to much sun because we do not want a fried baby. So I make sure to put him in the shade and keep a good eye on Mary Ann while we are hanging out in the shadow. Benjamin is doing great with all the solid foods we have managed to give him, does not look like we will run into any problems with him eating.

David is working almost 6 days a week now, which makes for a good paycheck but make for long weeks for the kids and me.

I just started reading the books by Diana Gabaldon. They are great books and very long which is great for me. Little books I can read in one day especially if the older two kids are out of the house. So am looking for these books to take me a couple of months to read, since it is the summer time and the kids will be home.

On a side not the neighbors finally cut their grass last night in the front yard, it took them about two hours to cut it. The front yard is not big it all, it just took them that long because they never cut it this year.

Great Weekend ahead for everyone.
