A Lazy Saturday

Glad today is a lazy day, yesterday was none stop once we left the house. After eating lunch we went and got our haircut, Donnita had hers cut really short but she looks great with it. Benjamin was the only one not to get a haircut, it will be a long time before he needs a haircut. We stocked up on a lot of stuff that we had got low on in the house, managed to do this at two stores. This was great because it did not mean we had to get out to much in this crazy heat we are having in the south.

While, eating dinner, I got a call from my Mom. My Mom called to tell me that she was going to keep both of my girls, this is her first time keeping both girls overnight. Can not wait until she brings them home to see how her first time keeping them went. I am wondering if she will ever do it again. We will have to wait and see.

Benjamin has officially discovered where we keep the cat food and water, so now am looking for a different place in the house so he can not get it so easily.

Hoping this lazy Saturday keeps up today.

Lazy Summer

We did manage to take the kids to the mountains for a day. They got to go swimming in the river and see some very smelly pigs at a farm all in one day. So for one day we got to get away from everything and it was well worth it.

Last night we thought we might have our first visit to the emergency room. Mary Ann went backwards in her chair while sitting at the dinner table. Well, she flipped the chair hit her head on a table that was behind her, got her elbow stuck in between the spokes of the chair. After David picked her up and looked her all over, she only needed a kiss, Mary Ann in just a few minutes was back to being her old self and running around the house like nothing happened. I tell you we have not find anything to keep that kid down.

Benjamin is now sitting up, pulling up on furniture, and cruising around the furniture. He is growing up very fast, before we know it he will probably be walking soon. Only if we could get time to stand still for just one minute. My Mom is like you have to let them grow up, I know they need to grow up, but you just want to keep them little so you can protect them from everything.

Donnita is trying her best to get a great tan this summer, all it takes is her being outside for just a few minutes and she has a tan. She has let her reading go but we are about to start back and making her read for school as coming right back around this August. Donnita is going to be in 4th grade this year. Seems, like she was just in 4K, looking at all her pictures from school you can tell how much she has grown.

In the next week, we as a family will be getting use to a new work schedule for David, his work place is going back to 12 hour shifts. The good news about this means he will be getting 5 days off after working 4 days in a roll. I think I got that right. It will give him more time with the kids.

For me, seems like I spend more and more time trying to keep the house clean. Right now the bathroom is killing me, seems like it does not take long for it to get messed up. I guess that happens when you have one bathroom, 5 people and 2 cats in one home. I would not change the family, but one day we might be able to change the house.

Now it is time to update my book list.
