Doctor Appointments
I feel like I should be moving into the pediatricians office. My poor Mary Ann has managed to keep catching one thing on top of another thing. Feb 6, we went the pediatricians office for a cough that want go away, and we got a referral to the allergist, but want see the allergist until Feb 22. Feb 11 we took Mary Ann to Minor care, because she kept saying her right ear was hurting. They also do a strep throat swap while we are there, turns out she had strep throat. So we went home with a prescription of antibiotics, figuring we would be clear until the allergist appointment. Well Mary Ann still was complaining about her ear and coughing, but she was still going to school. Well, Thursday comes around I send her and Donnita to school like always. Not long after school starts I get a call from the school nurse asking me to come and pick Mary Ann up, while going to pick Mary Ann I make an appointment with the pediatricians office. We go from the school straight to the doctors office, we also made an appointment for Benjamin, he has a cough and runny nose, they put him on cetirizine. If he is not better by Tuesday I am to call the doctor for a prescription of antibiotics. Mary Ann sees the doctor and now she has a bad ear infection, plus we are sent for xray of her chest. Turns out Mary Ann has inflammation, this was determined after the xray. So all this weekend Mary Ann has been on two antibiotics, ear drops for the pain in her ear, plus the medicine she has already be taking. We did stop the antibiotics the minor care doctor gave her. I also stopped her dosage of cetirizine, so she can have her allergy test this Wednesday. I am hoping between the pediatrician and the allergist we can get Mary Ann back to her old self. I guess we are seeing her catch so much since this her first year in school. Hoping next year will be a little better in the sickness part.
Hoping for a sick free house it least in time for Spring.
